Information on the resources listed in the MHGG Mental Health Resource Directory has been obtained from the individual practitioners, facilities and participating organizations themselves. A good faith effort has been made to verify the information provided, including staff composition and services offered. We do not have information about specific staff training, experience, or malpractice insurance. If you are concerned about this, you are encouraged to ask for this information.

The Mental Health Goal Group and the Crisis Center of Birmingham do not endorse any of these resources or guarantee satisfaction with services received from any of these resources. Our provision of links on the website does not constitute endorsement, sponsorship, or recommendation of the information or services found on any of these third party websites.

For Providers
At this time, we are focusing marketing efforts on the central Alabama area, around Jefferson County (Jefferson, St. Clair, Walker, Tuscaloosa, Blount, Chilton, Shelby). Please list services outside this area, as we plan to expand the scope of this website beyond this geographic area.

All information will be reviewed for accuracy, credentials, and readability. The MHGG will approve all submissions before posting to the MHGG Mental Health Resource Directory. If denied, you can appeal to the MHGG by contacting us at (put in the contact email). Postings may be removed if there is a problem with accuracy of information, or if there is a clear misrepresentation of services, staff, or qualifications.

We cannot guarantee that your resource information will be posted immediately—verification of specifics may take some time.   Funding and support for this website is provided by the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, the Daniel Foundation of Alabama, the Crisis Center of Birmingham, and the Jefferson County Department of Health.
